NEW PODCAST: This is Drum and Bass, January 2012

Posted by on Monday, January 2nd, 2012

Kick-starting 2012 with a brand new, exclusive addition to TiD&B, we present the official This is Drum and Bass podcast.

Another drum and bass poddy, we hear you say? Yes, but we come delivering a different kind of selection of tunes – one untouched by affiliation with specific labels/artists/club nights, and one where we also resist the temptation to tease listeners with unnamed tracks or dubplate business. With our new monthly podcast, we break away from the norm, simply presenting our choice of the hottest music available to buy NOW, selecting only tracks scheduled for release in the forthcoming month; gems which everyone can get their hands on.

Covering the full spectrum of drum and bass, we leave no sub-genre unexplored, from the dancefloor damagers to the soulful beauts and lush half-time soundscapes, our only criteria is that we believe them to be the best and so fully deserve to be brought to your attention.

Since TiD&B’s inception, we’ve had one aim; to support and showcase everything D&B, and that’s exactly the same concept behind our new podcast. 2011 established our status as trusted online purveyors of everything drum and bass, providing the freshest in D&B on the daily, as well as exclusive interviews, guest mixes and competitions – this was also confirmed when Lady V joined the BBC Radio 1Xtra D&B show , now representing TiD&B and hosting the weekly D&B news. As a result, we are very lucky to come into contact with a wide and varied selection of drum and bass, with a plethora of tunes, mixes and sets reaching our Inbox week in and week out, and we want to continue to push and promote the very best to bless our ears.

So with the new year, we present the first instalment of our monthly podcast; This is Drum and Bass, January 2012…
