Hospital Records BBC Radio 1Xtra Takeover: Live Update 2

Posted by on Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Kicking off the second hour of the Hospital Records takeover on 1Xtra, was the first of 2 live PAs with Selah Corbin performing High Contrast’s ‘The Agony and The Ecstasy’, the same title of his forthcoming album dropping at the end of February. Lincoln aka High Conrast explained how he met young vocalist Selah, after directing a music video for her band – multi-talented mister! He also spoke more about how he first got into making music and that he doesn’t usually like to explain what inspires the naming of his tracks, prefering to leave it a mystery….although his new single ‘Father Can’t You See I’m Burning’ is inspired by one of Sigmund Freud’s patients!

Brothers Nu:Tone and Logistics got on the mic and Bailey tested them to see just how well they know each other, getting down to the nitty gritty facts; favourite pizza toppings and underwear preference! They also delivered a brand new collaborative track which Bailey played as a world exclusive, the Nu:Logic remix of Logistic’s ‘We Are One’.

Next up was the gorgeous Ayah Marar, rocking a fresh leopard print and Adidas kicks combo. She sang Camo & Krooked’s ‘Watch It Burn’ live and totally rocked!

Bailey also chatted with Netsky live on the phone who unfortunately couldn’t make the Hospital takeover as he was in Belgium but will be returning to the UK soon for Hospitality Leeds on February 3rd!
